16 April – AMPO POYAM VALVES in the world leading projects
AMPO POYAM VALVES, world leader in high specification valves, will supply a series of cryogenic valves for Shell – Prelude FLNG, the world’s first LNG liquefaction offshore floating facility, and for Sabine Pass LNG Liquefaction project, the world’s first bi-directional facility capable of exporting natural gas in addition to regasifying imported LNG.
The company is well known for having the most reliable and safest valves of the market, due to AMPO’s experience, technology, know-how, references, operating time of the valves and a fully in house manufacturing process with their own foundry. AMPO POYAM VALVES manufactures high technology valves with the best performance and low maintenance costs, tailored to the customer’s requirements.
PRELUDE – SHELL FLNG
Floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) is a revolutionary technology that will allow Shell to access offshore gas fields that would otherwise be too costly or difficult to develop. Once operational, the Prelude FLNG facility is expected to produce at least 5.3 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquids: 3.6 mtpa of LNG, 1.3 mtpa of condensate (equivalent to 35,000 bbl/d) and 0.4 mtpa of LPG.
AMPO will supply a first series of 1,900 Cryogenic Ball Valves, in Austenitic Stainless Steel, with a special design for this project. Sizes will vary from 1” to 24” and pressure ranges from 150 lbs up to 2500 lbs.
AMPO POYAM VALVES signed in 2011 an Enterprise Framework Agreement (EFA) with Shell to supply high specification valve packages to the end user all over the world, and in PRELUDE FLNG both companies are working hand in hand.
SABINE PASS LIQUEFACTION PROJECT
Sabine Pass Liquefaction project will add liquefaction services at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The Liquefaction Project will transform the Sabine Pass terminal into the world’s first bi-directional facility capable of exporting natural gas in addition to regasifying imported LNG. It has been designed for up to four modular LNG trains, each with an average liquefaction capacity of approximately 4.5 mtpa.
AMPO will supply a series of valves for trains 1 and 2, some of them 36″ and 42″ cryogenic HIPPS service valves with perfect sealing in less than two seconds. The order is also for cryogenic, non cryogenic and metal seated ball valves.
The need of safe valves requires the best valve quality, top performance and a highly skilled engineering service. AMPO Poyam Valves have been carefully designed and constructed to get maximum reliability for long service life and trouble free even under heavy-duty operation.
Projects such as Prelude FLNG and Sabine Pass LNG Terminal are clear examples of how LNG industry is continuously working on the development of new technologies and processes in order to improve the performance of systems and efficiency. With the aim of supporting the LNG industry, AMPO’s engineering team is also committed to the development of new products, technologies and systems, which is why the company usually works together with EPCs and the end user’s engineering teams.
With Prelude FLNG and Sabine Pass Liquefaction projects AMPO has reaffirmed its position as the ideal partner with one of the widest valve ranges of the market. As a result of more than 30 years manufacturing cryogenic valves, zero leak quality class has been achieved. This extensive experience allows AMPO to undertake international projects with demanding technical requirements, offering solutions with the highest level of reliability and minimum maintenance costs.
AMPO is currently present at LNG17 on booth 861.
